HRA Arrears Calculator w.e.f July 2016
The 7th CPC HRA Arrears Calculator May 2017 is developed based on latest reports received from Finance Ministry sources. According to the report the rates of HRA recommended by 7th Pay Commission will be implemented without any changes with effect from 1.7.2016. We are informed from our sources that the 7th CPC Allowances will be announced in the last week of May 2017.
The Sources further told that the Rates recommended by 7th CPC in respect of House Rent Allowance for X,Y and Z Cities will not be changed and the same rates will be implemented with effect from 1.7.2016 as the Notification for implementation of 7th Pay Commission recommendation was issued on 25th July 2016. Since there was no precedence of implementing the Allowances with effect from the due date from which Pay Scales came into effect, House Rent Allowance and other allowances also may be implemented with effect from 1.7.2016, ie from the Month of Notification was issued.[Click here to see: 7th CPC Pay Matrix]
Though the reports suggests that HRA rates will be same as in 7th CPC Recommendation, there was some expectation that the Sixth CPC rates will be retained. So the arrears for both possibilities ( 24% : 16%: 8% and 30% : 20% : 10% from July 2016 to June 2017 is provided in the HRA Arrears Calculator result page.
