Subject: Guidelines in view of the Corona Virus (COVID-19) Infection- issue of medicines
With reference to the above subject and in continuation of the earlier OM of even Number dated 18.03.2020 it is clarified that medicines may be issued/ indented for three months at a time (in Chronic diseases) through an authorized representative in the following special circumstances without requirement of the beneficiary himself/herself visiting CGHS Wellness Centre:
i) Elderly beneficiaries aged 60 years and above
ii) Beneficiaries undergoing Immuno-suppressant treatment like organ transplant, chemotherapy , etc „
iii) Un-controlled diabetes,’ decompensated cardiac status
iv) Any other illness compelling stay at home.
The CMOs and other CGHS Staff shall be sensitised to ensure strict compliance with these directions.
